We are grateful, Lord, for the inspiration, the observation, and the dedication of those who have written novels, plays and poems that have enriched our lives.
Grant us time and quietness to enjoy their work. Grant that others may find the rewards that are to be had from encountering great literature, and grant that those who seek to live by the pen may use their talents for the benefit of their fellow men and women and not for harm.
