Rabbi Lionel Blue

Rabbi Lionel Blue 1930 -

Well known as a writer and broadcaster, Rabbi Lionel Blue read history at Oxford and Semitics at London University before being ordained as a Rabbi in 1960, Between 1960 and 1963 he was the minister of the settlement Synagogue and Middlesex New Synagogue.

He then became the european director of the World Union for progressive judaism and in 1967 took up his present position as the lecturer at Leo Baeck college London, In 1989 he scripted and presented the television series "In Search of Holy England".

His many books include Bright Blue (19850, Kitchen Blues (1985), Bolts from the Blue (1986), Blue Heaven (1987), Blue Horizon (1989), and the Little Blue Book of Prayer (1993), He enjoys cooking, visiting monastries, package holidays and window shopping.
